What Causes Blood In Urine?
I went to the doctor this weekend said i had a urinary tract infection gives me anitbodics then sends me home. Calls later in the week and says that the culture came back and the blood in my urine was mixed. Doesn't quite know if it was a uti that i had. I have had over 7 this year. What is causing this and what does he mean by the blood in my urine is mixed?

any mild injury in urinary tract can cause blood in urine,blood in urine means presence of RBC in urine sample,it happens if bleed from injury mixes with urine,it usually happens in urolithyasis i.e urinary stones,it also happens if the glomerular membane of nephrons are defective,orit can also happen in the infection of worms that stud eggs on bladder wall,its better maintain a good followup with your doctor
