I have the same problem now. My period end 4 days ago and I feel pain whenever I pee. There's blood coming out together with the urine and I keep wanting to pee after a few minutes later. And the blood seems a lot. Can someone tell me what may cause this?
Hello! Welcome to HCM. This can be due to a stone in urinary tract. Calcium oxalate stone has spikes on its surface, which cause trauma to mucosa in urinary tract & bleeding. A stone in ureter causes obstruction to urine outflow, so smooth muscles in ureter contract excessively to overcome this obstruction & pain. Many similar patients come in my clinic, to whom I advise urine routine, ultrasound abdo-pelvis, X-ray KUB, renal function tests, BSL. Treatment is done accordingly. For temporary pain relief, consult your doctor for smooth muscle relaxants like drotaverine and diclofenac, tamsulosin, diuretics etc. Hope this helps. Wish you a speedy recovery. Thanks. Regards.
