Dr. Hanif warmly welcomes you!
Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic HCM. I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I want to assure, I will take care all of your medical concerns.
Gastrointestinal bleeding and blood in vomiting is a common issue with patients who are chronic
hyperacidity patients, have had h.pylori infection, have propulsive and forceful vomiting causing a tear in mucosa of
esophagus, gastric and duodenal ulcers etc.
Malena (blood in stools) is caused by a lesion in the colon or rectum or even in the
small intestine. Bleeding ulcers in stomach and
duodenum may also lead to blood in stools.
It is not that simple. There may also be some bleeding diathesis due to which bleeding starts from anywhere in intestinal tract mucosa, and is due to blood disorders, liver disease or any factor that reduces vitamin K levels, platelet counts, or clotting factors.
I preferably refer you to a gastroenterologist for proper evaluation and a repeat
COLONOSCOPY and ESOPHAGO-GASTROSCOPY and a battery of blood tests on you.
