My wife has blood shot eyes and they are very light sensitive this has been constant for months she usually wears glasses and only rarely wears contacts but when she does she has a milky discharge on the contact when she removed them. Is this something serious that needs immediate attention?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to health care magic.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having blood shot eyes, light sensitivity and white discharge.
These symptoms indicate infection of the eyes.
This requires treatment by the use of antibiotic eye drops. The use of contact lenses should be stopped till the symptoms resolve.
Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope the information is helpful yo you.

Thank you
