Hi, I am 42 years old and have never smoked. Each morning there is a small amount of bright red blood when I spit. I have tried mediacting myself with Omeprazole, from the remainder of my wifes prescription, but this hasn t helped, or reduced the issue. I have a touch of the white coat syndrome and am absolutely terrified of Cameras down the throat etc. To make matters even worse I now feel I have minor difficulty swallowing, but this has only begun since trying the Omeprazole, so think it may be a side effect. The bleeding only occurs in the morning after laying flat, while asleep. Thank you for any advice offered. Regards Ian.
Hi Ian....after reading your query I personally think we should start thinking from the simplest things .....you should be seen for whether you have gingivitis...if yes then have a treatment for the same.also use a soft tooth brush and a good mothwash...Do you clear your throat vigorously .....if yes then avoid doing so...now you said you have dysphagia.....you can visit an ent doctor and get yourself clinically assessed and if required a laryngoscopy can be done to rule out any major issue......and yes ask your doctor not wear white coat .....just joking.....so don't worry ....I hope I was of some help.
