What Causes Blood Spotting In Thick Yellow Mucus With A Headache?
Hi there my mucus is thick dark yellow when I cough it up in the morning. My nose is also very stuffed and I have a headache. My feel "stuffed" and are occasionally popping. Last night when ... "horked"... up mucus to try and relieve myself there was a bit of red in it, so that was worrisome. Thanks
Hello Thanks for your query. From your history it seems to me that you are suffering from chronic sinusitis which needs to be evaluated properly by a CT scan of the sinuses in order to exclude anatomical defects and polyps to look for surgical indications of treatment. You need to consult a ENT surgeon for better management. Hi Thanks for your query. Chest tightness and dry cough are suggestive of asthma for which you need to have a spirometry with bronchodialator reversibility test done to prove the diagnosis of asthma. Along with it you also need have sputum for acid-fast bacilli smear and sputum eosinophil count along with a chest x-ray to exclude other etiologies of chronic cough. You need to consult a pulmonologist soon and get yourself thoroughly examined. Thank you. Regards Dr Arnab Maji
