What Causes Blood Stains In My Stool?

At different times of day, sometimees in the morning, or in the afternoon, if I poop there is a ting of blood on the toliet paper. It is not from my rectum, but appears to be from my vagina area. This only happens if I grunt or am forcing pressure to the abdomen area.. This does not happenconstantly during the day and there is no sign later on. I am a 56 year old female, who has gone without a period for at least 4 years..

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I can understand your concern, condition has to be confirmed for bleeding whether it is form the GI tract or it is the bleeding PV, if this is the bleeding per rectum then it could be fissure or hemorrhoid, if this is the bleeding PV then it could be uterine bleeding or bleeding from the vagina it self.
Both the condition of rectum bleeding and vaginal bleeding demands the medical attention, it may not be the serious condition, it may be due to constipation it may be due to vaginitis, hormone changes, but it can not be taken as granted until and unless proved benign.
The best option you have is to see the doctor for confirmation, hope this information helps.
