What Causes Blood To Clot In The Lungs Post A Surgery?

I recently had a pulmonary embolism as a result of surgery. A blood clot in the bottom of my left lung. I am on a 3 month regimen of warfarin to treat it. How will meth use, ingested by smoking it, affect my condition. I am told meth thins the blood..

Thanks for your question on HCM. The most common source of blood clot in pulmonary embolism is from the deep veins of the leg. Surgery is the predisposing factor for deep vein thrombosis because during and after surgery, patient is usually immobile. So blood flow in legs is stagnant and tend to make clot.
So this clot can travel in blood and reach to the heart. From heart they settle in pulmonary artery and cause pulmonary embolism.
So follow the treatment of warf according to doctor's advice. No need to try meth smoking, as it will be more harmful.
