What Causes Blood When Spitting And Cleaning Nose?
i m 31 and healthy, this morning when i spit there is blood clot and when i clean my nose also lil bit clot.with cough flam also tiny clot. last nite i took disprin for headache. can u pls tell me what is cause of this blood? now i dont have any blood from any side, its jus happend today morning
Disprin has a typical property of antiplatelet activity and hence can cause some bleeding, enhanced if there is already a pre-existing problem to coagulopathy. In simple words this can be due to the action of Disprin. Hence I would advise you the following: Consult your Doctor immediately to see for the origin of bleeding, any petechial rashes and get investigated for blood disorders particularly bleeding time, clotting time, prothrombin time, liver function tests and tests for Dengue. Once the cause is found you can get an appropriate management as per the diagnosis. If you have taken half of Disprin you may be given a full dose to reduce the antiplatelet effect. Do not forcefully blow the nose or try to expel the mucus as it can cause more bleeding.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
