What Causes Blood While Urinating After Cystoscopy?

10 days ago, I had a cystoscopy performed, and now I feel worse than before. I'm going to urinate way more frequently, yet my bladder always feel full. I'm having some pain, and some blood when urinating. I'm taking septra, and now flomax, but they don't seem to work. Is this normal for 10 days after the cystoscopy?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Respected user, hi usually some amount of discomfort & blood in urine is
acceptable for 1-2 days post procedure , but at 10 days it is not usual.
*It indicates urinary tract infection / minor trauma to underlying structures
during procedure.
*In our clinic, we recommend to undergo Urine culture report, Complete
blood counts & treat the patient accordingly.
- take plenty of liquids .
- avoid oily / spicy / nonveg stuffs .
- avoid exposure to excess heat .
Hope this clears your query .
Thanks for using Health care magic & keeping trust in our medical services.
Wishing you fast recovery from the same.
Regards dear take care.
