What Causes Blood While Urinating?

i started having symptoms of uti yesterday morning. last night i noticed drops of blood after urinating. now, i m seeing small bloody chunks when i urinate. is this something that can wait until tuesday when i can go to my regular doctor or should i go to an urgent care clinic?

Hello,

As per my surgical experience, the current issue of blood in urine indicate heavy bacterial infection in the urinary tract, most probably urinary bladder in the form of cystitis.

You have to consume plenty of liquids over next 3-4 hours and watch for a reduction in the blood in urine if the persistent rush to ER; if lessen consult your doctor by appointment.
