What Causes Bloody Discharge After Taking Vaginal Infection Medication?
Hi, i have been prescribed Microdox LBX 100mg along with Flagyl 400 mg for a vaginal infection. This with suppository Clingen Forte. After two doses of Oral meds and one of suppository, though thr is relief, apparently thr is a bloody discharge. Now i am not sure if i should take another dose before consulting my gynac or this is normal.
"As"per your clinical history is concerned please take medicine and complete its course and your problem is due to infection only and not due to any medicines so do not stop any medicines.
Do take few preventive steps like this -
1)Try to avoid hot tubs and whirlpool spas. Rinse soap from your outer genital area after a shower, and dry the area well to prevent irritation. Don't use scented or harsh soaps, such as those with deodorant or antibacterial action. 2)Try to avoid irritants. These include scented tampons and pads.
3)Wipe from front to back after using the toilet. Doing so avoids spreading fecal bacteria to your vagina.
4)Don't douche. Your vagina doesn't require cleansing other than normal bathing. Repetitive douching disrupts the normal organisms that reside in the vagina and can actually increase your risk of vaginal infection.
5)Try to use a condom for sexual intercourse
Hope that helps
