What Causes Bloody Mucus In Bowel Movement?
I had a colonoscopy 10 days again. bowel movements are back to normal however when not having a bowel movement I feel like I have to go and bloody mucus come out. Should I be concerned?
My age is 63, weight 162. Large flat polyp removed during colonoscopy was benign.

Dear bloody mucous in bowel movements may be due to infections like shigella, salmonella and ecoli.
protozoa infection like amoebiasis or giardiasis etc..
other possibilities like inflammatory Bowel disease or irritable bowel syndrome or food allergy etc..
