What Causes Blurred Vision , High Blood Pressure And Dizziness During 32 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
I'm 32wk pregnant with history of preeclampsia. ..my BP is 146/89. ;but has been higher . I have had nausea, blurred vision, light headedness, dizziness, and back pain for the last week. I'm at the hospital now...but I still feel really sick. If they discharge me should I go to another doctor for a second opinion because I truly believe something is wrong
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. High blood pressure with head ache, blurred vision, nausea, dizziness & back pain is a cause of concern. Specially when there is past history of preeclampsia, you need to be very careful. To diagnose preeclampsia two symptoms out of , high blood pressure/urine +ve for albumin / swelling of feet are to be present. So before they discharge you, they will check all the aspects to be normal/ under control. They will give you specific treatment & instruction. So don't worry no doctor will discharge you without getting satisfied about your condition.. Still if you want, 2nd opinion can be taken & get satisfied.. for psychological serenity is essential to control blood pressure. Thanks.
