If you are in a room and have heating on can that heat eat up the oxygen in the atmosphere of the room. I didn't have any window open. I have a slight problem with the eyes becoming distorted for a few seconds. I have been to the Opticians (Specsavers) and he didn't find anything wrong with my eyes. I think I was too warm and that's why it happened. I'm 67 yrs old and have good health normally. I do have a Doctors appointment on Monday morning just to check things over. Thanks for your help Angela YYYY@YYYY
Hi Angela, Thanks for posting in HCM. blurring of vision at the age of 67 years could be due to following reasons: 1. Refractive errors. 2. Glaucoma. 3. Diabetic or hypertensive retinopathy. Opticians only check for refractory errors and it must have been found to be normal. Kindly check your anterior chamber status by looking for patency of the angles of the eyes and ocular pressure. Also check your posterior chamber status by getting an retinal examination done. You need to get these things done by an Opthalmologist. Accordingly, treatment could be administered. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
