What Causes Body Imbalance And Short Term Memory?

My husband is 76 years old and his weight now 300 lbs. At one time he weighed 360 but lost 120 lbs, that was about 7 years ago. His balance is getting worse and is having some trouble with short term memory. He is also bi-polar. Takes medication regularly. At present he does not have any bp issues or diabetes. I can't get him to start watching his weight.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If this is the CNS (Central nervous system related )symptoms like memory loss, walking difficulty so I would suggest getting done the CT of the brain because, with the history of bipolar disorder, CNS related symptoms are very common but it is not actually pathological symptoms, moral support may play the great role.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
