What Causes Body Rashes After Using Unsunned Blanket?
Hi...I have developed an allergy due to an unsunned blanket that I used about a week ago. I started by taking a cetrizine at nite as a result of which for two days I was fine but again the rashes have begun to bother me so i had avil last nite. how can i get rid of these rashes?
Hello and welcome to HCM. It seems you have got dermatitis due to contact with the blanket. It called Contact irritant dermatitis. Nothing to worry as your skin will be fine soon. I would advise you a week course of oral prednisolone in low dose (5-10mg). Continue tablet Avil once at night for 5-7 days. Apply a mild corticosteroid lotion like betamethasone lotion twice a day. Apply soothing calamine lotion twice a day. Wear loose cotton clothes as far as possible Hope this was useful. Take care Dr Hardik Pitroda
