What Causes Boils In Head?

I have boils in my head that came from stressing out in October. The problem is they are taking a a little time to go away. Is this a sign of a health issue? At one point I was popping them and they spread in various spots on head. I'm scheduled to go to the dermatologist Monday. Do you have an idea of what it could be

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

Boils on head can be a result of using oily/greasy products on head like hair oils OR it could be associated with dandruff/seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp.

I would suggest that you get a prescription for an oral antibiotic for a week from your local care practitioner. My choice of oral antibiotic would have been Amoxycillin or Cefadroxil.

An antiseborrheic solution e.g cetrimide 5% solution can be used for shampoo thrice weekly or even daily.

Avoidance of hair oils etc would help if that is applicable in your case.
