What Causes Bone Growth At The Back Of Throat And Under The Tongue?
I have a bone-like growth on right side at back of throat starting below tonsil area and extending to middle of throat and feels like it is about two inches in length and is very pronounced in throat area. As additional information i have bone growths under tongue, outside gum line and very pronounced in roof of mouth. It is very difficult to get pills down. Will so appreciate knowing what is happening. Thank you.
Bone growths in the mouth are of various types, they can be non-cancerous, cancerous or precancerous. It is commonly caused by irritation, stress in the jaw, bruxism, oral sex, genetics, mostly seen in people with diabetes or suppressed immune systems, gardener syndrome, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT and get all investigations (blood tests, biopsy and imaging tests) done. Get assessed get treated at the earlieast. Your treatment (by medicines or surgery) will depend on the pathology detected & your clinical conndition.
