Hi my name Deborah I been having some off and on pain in my rt groin area lower back rt side from the back to front of my hold leg, I had most of my Pancreas removed, seen my GI Dr today from a MRI and he said I have sbo with some narrowing, I realize like he was saying I am a very high risk for surgery, but I never told him about my pain what could this be?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of on and off pain in the right groin area, right side from the back to front of hold leg, most of the pancreas removed, Gastroenterologist says SBO with some narrowing, MRI was done. This indicates That the pain might be originating from the spine, spinal cord or nerve root compression at the lower spinal level. This can be diagnosed by an MRI of the lower spine. Intestinal SBO with narrowing needs evaluation by Barium studies or Enteroclysis by CT to know the exact diagnosis, then take an opinion of a Surgical Specialist to get a plan of further treatment.
