What Causes Breast Discharge During Fertility Treatment?
Hi, I have been trying to conceive for the last 6months unsuccessfully. My doctor ask me to do an hsg with came back normal. She also asked for a test to find out if my prolactin levels are high being that I had discharge from both breast. My result was also normal. She now referred me to a specialist but I am a bit concern about what could be the reason for my bteast discharge....

Hi, I understand your concern. - Breast discharge along with sterility indicates hormonal involvement in inhibiting ovulation. The most common cause of it being raised prolactin level. - If your prolactin level is normal ( please confirm by repeat test.). In case prolactin level is normal. TSH ( Thyroid stimulating hormone assessment is to be performed to get further clue for the symptom. - Please consult an endocrinologist for his expert advise. Thanks.
