Hello,
As per your clinical history is concerned, please follow like this:
1) Do a clinical examination by your Doctor [gastroenterologist] and do few investigations like [
Endoscopy and manometry] to confirm.
2) Regarding prescription medications discuss with your Doctor about[
pantoprazole and Baclofen].
Do follow lifestyle modification like this:
1) Try to maintain a healthy weight. If your weight is healthy, work to maintain it and if you are
overweight or
obese, then work to slowly lose weight (0.5 to 1 kilogram) a week.
2) Avoid tight-fitting clothing. Clothes that fit tightly around your waist put pressure on your abdomen and the lower esophageal sphincter.
3) Try to avoid foods and drinks such as fatty or fried foods, tomato sauce, alcohol, chocolate, mint, garlic, onion, and caffeine et cetera.
4) Eat smaller meals. Avoid overeating by eating smaller meals. Don't lie down after a meal. Wait at least three hours after eating before lying down or going to bed. Elevate the head of your bed. Place wood or cement blocks under the feet of your bed so that the head end is raised by 6 to 9 inches.
5) Don't smoke and
smoking decreases the lower esophageal sphincter's ability to function properly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
