What Causes Breathing Difficulty Along With Blue Discoloration Of Lips?
I found my mother in law not breathing and lips blue and foam coming out of her mouth She recently was in a car accident broke her leg after thst she hardly got out of her chair and when she did she only went to bathroom maybe ten feet there and back and would breathe so hard. She over ate and was always a big woman. I think she was taking somas too. We got there I tried CPR until paramedics got there and they put that shocker on her and it more or less said not to shock. The family did no autopsy. Its bothering me if you could maybe take a try as to the symptoms what happen to her.the funeral lady said she had alot of fluid. I just am upset and want to know something.
Hello I am so sorry about your mother in law's death. As per your description of the symptoms what I feel is that, one probable cause of death could be respiratory failure due to aspiration. She might have aspirated something which in turn blocked her airway and might have been the cause of her death. Bluish discoloration of the lips signifies cyanosis, a result of less oxygen flow in the blood vessels; which in turn is a cause of respiratory arrest or insufficiency. Thank you.
