What Causes Breathing Difficulty As Though Something Stuck Up In Throat?

I have a 16 year old athletic boy who in the last week has been saying he cannot breath. He is saying he feels like he has something in his throat and cannot get enough air. He is constantly clearing his throat. Has no sore throat, fever or a cold. Says his chest feels fine with no pain. Weird!

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, Thanks for the query.

As per your clinical history it appears that your son are having post nasal discharge which causing him to constantly clear his throat .

If I were his treating doctor , I would advice him
Steam Inhalation twice daily,
Saline nasal spray thrice daily &
combination of Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast at night .

Hope above information helpful to you , take care.
Regards .
