What Causes Breathing Difficulty While Suffering From High BP?
I am an active 68 yr old female. I take meds for high blood pressure and it is controlled. Lately, I am noticing more labored breathing, huffing and puffing while climbing hills while walking and even climbing stairs in my home. My doctor has told me that I have arrhythmia and not to be concerned, but my pulse has been registering above 100 even without exercise. Otherwise, I feel fine.
breathing difficulty is acommon problem of old age and have more than one cause for investigations
anemia is one of the most common causes as it will decrease your energy and affect metabolism so causes breathing difficulty and increase heart rate so you should do complete blood cout to role it out
second cause is chest infection or bronchial asthma or allergy as these causes bronchoconstriction and difficulty of breathing and you will feel wheezy chest with excercise and will feel that if you smell any odour
some times there is myococrdial infarction may cause that and you need to do stress ecg test to role that out severe effort also that causes your fatigue in this age considered main cause of these symptoms
also stress and anxiety have great role in these symptoms so try to avoid stress and any psychological troubles
god bless you
wish you healthy life
