What Causes Breathlessness At Night?

Dr.i am 43 year old male had a angioplasty into the LAD only one stent on February 2014 , Dr.prescribed me Cardace 10 Mg , Clavix AS-75, Stanlip 145mg,Rozavel 45mg. Now I have develop this problem that at night I feel breathlessness ,heart beat irregular whenever I walk or run I feel so much compression into my heart ,Cardace I stopped reason being my BP is normal but diastolic reduced to 60 only which is very much worrying ,Dr.advice me what is the reason it s happening and some time pain into the centre of the chest also .please advice .

Hi! I have gone through your concerns. The commonest reason for breathlessness at night in a patient with heart disease is reduced pumping by the heart - what we call congestive cardiac failure. I think you have stopped cardace without consulting your doctor. Cardace, apart from lowering the blood pressure, also helps improving the pumping mechanism of the heart. If I were your doctor and convinced that this is the cause, I'd also add a diuretic. If the problem persists after starting cardace and a diuretic, you might need a repeat coronary angiography.
