What Causes Breathlessness, Sleep Apnea With Excessive Weight?
Hello,
I am 42 years old and have been having periods where I feel as if I am hungry for air, sometimes I can catch it and sometimes it is as if I could get just a little bit I would be satisfied but can't. I then try to push all of the air out of my lungs and take a deep breath and I can catch it then. The thing is it doesn't seem to happen all of the time. It seems to happen more toward the evening then anyother time. I usually walk about two miles a day at about 15 min per mile and it doesn't seem to bother me while I am walking but I do find myself taking deep breaths every now and then. I am over weight (300) and have sleep apnea and sleep with a Cpap machine. I went to the Dr and he seems to think it is stress but I told him I am as stress free now as I have ever been so he listened to my lungs and said they sounded clear but set me up for a stress test and a lung Xray. I am wondering what this could be, I am worried it could be cancer or something. I used to smoke but have quit for alost 3 years now. Thanks for any insite you might give.
