Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 32 year old male and have been urinating blood for two months. I went to the doctor and they checked for STDs, kidney infections, they did CBCs and CMPs and did not find anything. Now in addition to urinating blood I have now started deficating blood (bright red). I do not know what this could be please help!
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if it is the confirmed case of hematuria then it must be having some underlying reason or reasons. If I would be doctor of this case then I would ask for urine examination lab test ) ,if found positive hematuria then further test are necessary like imaging studies, urethroscopy, and others, bleeding could be from urethra to renal area, prostrate gland could be the cause also. One thing is very much clear that once it is the hematuria confirmed then it has to be some reasons without that it is not possible. If this is the blood stain stool also then it is not related with hematuria but it seems to be due to constipation, hemorrhoid, fissures or some other rectal lesion, such case also demands investigations. hope this information helps.
