What Causes Brown Colored Mucus Secretion In The Nose?
Hi I have been getting Coffe Brown Colour Mucus every morning from last 2 day s. I was advised Azee 500 every morning before breakfast for 3 days ,Mucolite 1 tablet 3 times a day for 6 days and Otrinoz Drops 3 in each nostril followed by Steam Inhalation for 4 days..I wanted to know is it OK and how long will it take to cure?? Is anything serious? I dont have any other problem. I am 38 year old Male.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of getting coffee-brown colored mucus every morning for the last 2 days. The treatment with Azee, Mucolite and Otrinoz is absolutely fine. Please stop steam inhalations as it increases local temperature can cause alarming nasal bleeding The commonest causes of coffee-brown colored mucus in the morning are: Epistaxis of whatsoever reason. Internal sore or wound. Internal Mass or so. *This can be diagnosed by the ENT evaluation and examination and CT scan of the sinuses to find out the probable cause so that a targeted treatment can be achieved.
