What Causes Brown Discharge After Completing A Course Of Meprate For Delayed Periods?
Hi, my period was late by 16 days so i consulted a doctor and she asked me to take meprate 10 mg for 7 days, 3 times a day.I finished 7 days of meprate and after 8 days gap i started getting a brown discharge now it has been 2 days. But no period. Should i be worried?
You can wait for a couple of days. Periods should come. In case, it does not come then you are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist. They will do a per vaginal check-up to detect bulky uterus or get a pregnancy test and USG (Uterus and Fallopian) tube done to confirm pregnancy. If not pregnant, you will have to get few more tests done to rule out hormonal problem, thyroid dysfunction, miscarriage, anemia, PCOS, etc.
Your treatment will depend on the diagnosis made. Your gynecologist may do a D and C or other treatment that is required. In the meantime, avoid stress (physical and emotional). Take home-made food rich in iron, calcium and protein. Take quality sleep. Stay away from all addictions.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
