Hello, You are suffering from brown discharge after taking depo shot. The discharge is also foul smelling. After taking depo spots, spotting will last as long your taking the depo, it keeps your ovaries from producing any eggs so that you don t get pregnant. Avoid douching, as the vagina is self cleansing and douching upsets the natural balance. The old blood will go away in time. It is just a minor sloughing of uterine lining and normal with Depo. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a healthcare provider to get checked for vaginal infection, such as bacterial vaginosis, or trichomonas, or yeast infection as infection causes foul discharge. You may need to get a vaginal culture and a wet mount examination of the discharge/mucus. You will be treated accordingly. You may have old bloody discharge for up to 9 months after Depo injections. Get clinically examined by a Gynae to detect any pathology. The foul smell is indicative of an infection that a GYN needs to see, evaluate, and eventually treat. Stay away from addictions if any.
