What Causes Brown Discoloration At The Inner Eyelid Of A Child While Using Eye Lubricants For Chronic Dryness And Allergies?
I noticed my 6yr old son’s inner eyelid turned brown. He’s got chronic dry eye and allergies. He was prescribed eye lubricants and ‘pataday’ which we used for over 2-3 months now. General health is normal other than his eczema and constant cold/cough.

The most common cause of brown discoloration is the hyperpigmentation due to inflammation for an allergic process. You should look around and see if there are environmental or food near of him and treat them.
