Hello, I am simply confused.I had brown bleeding 4 days before my period was due. The brown than lead into a dark red which soon turned into a reddish pink. The bleeding was not heavy at all, it can barely fill up a panty liner. For those 4 days I was bleeding, sometimes it would stop then I spot for a bit then start bleeding again. On my day I expected my period I didn't get my period. I am currently 3 days late on my period. I've taken two home test but got negative on both. Should I be concerned? Or did I take the tests too early?
Brown discharge is commonly due to old blood coming out. Brown discharge is also seen sometimes early in pregnancy. If you had unprotected sexual intercourse or are trying for pregnancy, you should wait for a couple of days. Stay relaxed & stress free.
Repeat the pregnancy test with the first morning mid stream urine. HCG is seen earlier in the blood than in the urine.
You can have a blood test done or get clinically examined by an OBGYN to confirm pregnancy. You may have to get USG (uterus)done. You will be managed accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
