What Causes Brown Patches On The Back Of Tongue?

Hi. I just noticed some brown patches on the back of my tongue when I was using a new antiseptic mouth wash. The front of my tongue is normal color, just the back area is brown and splotchy. I m due to get my upper wisdom teeth extracted on Tuesday so I m a little concerned with whatever this is. Thank you for your time.

The brown patches over the dorsal aspect of the tongue can be normal physiological pigmentation. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get i evaluated. You can go ahead with extraction of the wisdom teeth.
