Hi,
Irregularity in menstrual cycles can occur due to many cancers like:
- Changes in diet, weight, sleep, etc.
Underweight can affect the reproductive hormone levels and can lead to
irregular periods sometimes.
- General conditions like anemia, thyroid abnormalities, etc. can be associated with irregular periods and also symptoms like
dizziness, weakness, etc.
- Sometimes friction or minor abrasions on external genitalia can also lead to spotting.
If your irregular menstrual cycles persist, better to get evaluated. Please consult your gynecologist, get examined and undergo investigations like blood
hemoglobin levels, blood sugar levels, thyroid profile, serum prolactin levels and
ultrasound. With this work up the possible cause of your problem can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
