What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge With Itchiness?
Today everytime I have gone to the bathroom there were long gooey strands of mucusy blood. It was more brown than it was red. I haven t had a period in 7 months (I have mirena and there is no chance of pregnancy, I haven t been sexually active for almost 2 months now) there is some itching. I m just not sure what is going on.
Itching is a sign of fungal infection which is very common in the vaginal area.
I would advise you to apply Betnovate C cream (Betamethasome Valerate + Clioquinol) two to three times a day in the itching area. If you do not find relief with this cream in 2-3 days, you shoukd take systemic antifungal drugs. Fluconazole 150 mg (Fole) once a day for seven days is advised.
