Hello,
Thanks for posting your query. Irregular bleeding/spotting is observed with hormonal contraception. Implantation bleeding is a fresh bleed lasting for a couple of days up to a week. In the current scenario, pregnancy should be excluded/confirmed with the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titers along with a trans-vaginal sonogram. The status of the pelvic organs can also be seen this way. Any cysts of the ovary, erosions, polyps etc. also should be excluded as the cause of this spotting. Hope your query has been clarified. Wish you good health.
