I am experiencing light spotting that is either light red or brownish 3 days after getting intimate with my husband. We didn t really have full intercourse, he was inside me for only a few seconds and did not ejaculate or was near it. We haven t had intercourse in over a year due to health reasons on his part so I am wondering could it be just that my insides are tender? Or could it be implantation bleeding? I was just past ovulating and I don t expect my period for at least 10 days. Could I really get pregnant with him being in there for such a small amount of time? Help!

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. -The brown bleeding after 3 days of sex can be due to- -stress/stretch of the sex after long standing abstinence, leading to abrasions of vagina.- More possible in your case.will stop on it's own in couple of days.Keeping the area clean is what is needed. If it repeats, consult your gynecologist ti exclude -cervical erosion, cervical polyp. - Though there is sleek chance of conception with a sex( you describe) around ovulation, it needs to be tested by pregnancy test a week after delayed period. - It can not be implantation bleeding it occurs after 15 days of sex ,around the expected day of menses. Thanks.
