What Causes Brownish Vaginal Discharge While Taking Lymecycline?
Hi, I ve been taking lymecycline for 3 months to treat my spots And for the last 2 months I ve been having brown vaginal discharge when I wipe in between periods and also suffering with like period cramps my periods have also slowed down from bleeding for 7 days to 4 days I m just wondering if there is anything to worry about and is it normal to have the discharge since taking lymecycline ??
Limecycline will not cause cramps or vaginal discharge. Since you have been getting your periods monthly, it is unlikely that you are pregnant.
However, brown vagina discharge along with cramps is concerning for vaginal and pelvic infections.
Please be advised to follow up with your ObGyn to undergo pelvic examination, vaginal swab, and culture. Additional investigations may also be recommended depending on the initial screening evaluations.
If an infection is confirmed, antibiotics depending on the specific type of infection would be initiated.
