What Causes Brownish Vaginal Spotting After Using Birth Control Implant?
I went to the bathroom and peed some brown like discharge. Almost looked like dirt. I got the birth control implant a couple months ago and have been spotting since then but I stopped spotting recently. Do you think it is left over discharge or do you think that it is something else?
Irregular spotting is quite common side effect of birth control Implant. However, brownish discharge may be related with early implantation bleeding (low chance).
Other reasons are old blood, endometrial tissue, hormonal imbalance, stress/ depression, irregular diet habit, vaginal/ pelvic infection etc.
You need to wait for next coming period. If it is delayed more than 7 days, you need to undergo one home pregnancy test & TVS scan to rule out conception.
Please consult with gynecologist for complete health check up with relevant investigation. Take proper medication accordingly.
Maintain genital hygiene. Avoid stress. Practice safe sex in future. Good luck.
