I have two toes on my right foot that are black and blue and a black and blue bruise on the inside, side of the foot. The muscles are cramping in the toes and the toes feel as if they are going numb. I have had operations for hammer toes 50 years ago and develop pencil-point callouseses on the ball of the foot (a point sticks out from the ball like a pencil tip) and have trouble walking because of the discomfort/pain. I have been diagnosed with neuropathy from the knees down. Have not been able to identify any neuromas at the foot of the toe bones underneath the ball. I wear orthotics, which help but do not fully resolve. Should I be concerned with the black and blue coloring of the two middle toes? Nothing has been dropped upon them. Thank you
Yes it a emergency condition. I think it is a gangrene of toes. U should consult doctor ASAP. Otherwise you might lose your toes.
