my toddler is turning 2 in November and for the past 6 mos. I have noticed he is getting tiny round bruises along his spine, sometimes different colors that range from black to a light green sometimes yellow and i didn't notice them the night before.. is this something to be worried about; can you tell me whats causing it or if i should take him to the e.r. immediately? He hasn't bumped into anything hes a very calm toddler.
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.
I will elaborate my thought processes for you to be convinced about what I am saying - Spine is the bony place on the skin where the pressure is put while lying down and you quote that the bruising is sometimes blue to green and this is a sigh o bleeding disorder where in the blood clotting capacity is diminished.
I suggest you get him thoroughly evaluated by a paediatrician.
Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health. Dr. Sumanth MBBS., DCH., DNB (Paed).,
