What Causes Bruising And Swelling In Calf Muscle After An Injury?

About 2 days ago I jumped of a ledge that was higher than I initially thought. Afterwards I noticed a swollen bump on the calf of the leg that had taken the brunt of the landing. I think that I may have burst or damaged a vein, or ripped up some muscle. Today I only have a large bruise about 5cm in diameter under the skin where the swelling occurred and no pain unless pressure is applied to the area. My biggest concern is that if a vein did burst, could this indicate that I may have weak veins in other part of my body, or is this kind of damage normal with falls of about a meter to meter and a half?
