What Causes Bruising In Ankle?
Thank you. I have an area about 4 inches above my ankle on the inside of the leg approximately 2 inches by 4 inches that stays tender to the touch. If you look at the area under a light, it appears to have a mild bruise. its been this way for several months. I am 62, not over weight and very active.

Some medicine like anticoagulant drugs or steroids may cause bruishing area. Low platelate count cause bruishing area .
