Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have two little bubbles under the skin on my right kneecap about the size of a pea. I ve had one for some considerable time and just noticed the other one. I can slide them around with my finger. Have you ever seen anything similar? One does not hurt, but the other one hurts a bit when I move it around in a certain spot.
The symptoms seem to be related to bursitis which is an inflammation of the bursa found between the front of the kneecap and the skin. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation. I also suggest to rest and elevate the area.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
