Last week as I was falling asleep I heard/felt a bug buzzing in my ear. I woke up in a panic. As soon as I was alert I could find no signs of a bug in my room. This exact experience has repeated itself several times since. After the 2nd time it happened I thought this was a dream sort of thing. Kind of like how sometimes when your drifting off you'll dream you're falling and start to a wake. Well last night I was watching tv sitting up in bed when the dang bug yet again attacked my ear. But I was awake. Yet I still am unable to find the bug in my room. I'm starting to think there may be a medical reason for this. I recently had gastric bypass and am wondering if I could possibly be experiencing some sort of mental disturbance do to the lack of vitamins? I take all my supplements regualarly. Help!! I'm getting paranoid and afraid to sleep, I don't want a bug laying eggs in my ear or something.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Are you sure of a bug buzzing in the ear. You need to do an audiogram of your ear to see the hearing status. This bug buzzing feeling may be something related to tinnitus. In that case after seeing your hearing level and seeing in the ear with the help of microscope then we can proceed.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Take care.
