What Causes Bulging Of Ribs With Pain And Difficulty To Breath?

Hello my friend hip tossed me and my rib feels bulged out a little on my lowwer right side. It s bin about 2 weeks there isn t much pain at this point in till I lay on a hard surface then it gets a little hard to breath and there s quit the bit of pain. I ve bin able to work the whole time and be active.

I can understand your concern.
You are having blunt chest trauma.
And this can lead to rib fracture, pulmonary contusion, pleural effusion pneumothorax, musculoskeletal injury etc.
Amongst this complications, pleural effusion and pneumothorax can cause bulging of ribs and localised pain on lying down.
So in my opinion, you should definitely get done chest x ray to rule out these complications.
If chest x ray is normal then no need to worry for lung complications.
Simple musculoskeletal pain can be the cause.
So apply warm water pad on affected areas. Take painkiller like ibuprofen. Avoid movements causing pain.
Don't worry, you will be alright. But get done chest x ray to rule out internal lung pathology.
