What Causes Bump After The Needle Was Taken Out During Blood Work?
I had blood work today and the shot caused a bump after the needle was taken out. It is very sore and the person taking the blook did not seem to be able to get the blood correctly. Could the bump be a blood clot? If so could it move to my heart, lung or brain?
Welcome to HCM I can understand your problem In most of the cases its because of thrombophlebitis and yes they may be clots. But usually blood is taken is only from superficial veins, and there is only a very very little probability to reach to heart or brain.Just apply Heparin based ointments.
Hope information ll help Thanks Dr varun
