What Causes Bump In The Center Of The Eyelid?

Hi! I am 18 years old and I noticed a small bump on the inside of my eyelid almost in the center of my eye. It only hurts a little when I mash on it. I do not think it it a stye because it is not on the rim of my eye. Do you know what this could be or how i could treat it? Thanks in advance! Morgan

Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic

It seems from the history that you are having a bump in the center of the eyelid. Since it is away from the margin of the eyelid as you are saying it can be internal hordeolum. This is because of infection of the meibomian gland. The treatment is by use of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. Applying hot compression provides symptomatic relief.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
