What Causes Bump In Throat Where The Eustachian Tube Drains?
I have recently noticed a bump in my throat in the area of where my eustation tube drains. My ear has also been draining clear fluids for several months. I have been to an ENT but they found nothing. He even told me that the "bump" was normal but it seems to be gettting bigger. Where should I go from here?
Regarding your query for bumps in throat where eustachian tube drains, these are the tubal tonsils. This can't be seen directly and doctor may see it by PNS mirror. Whenever this tube is blocked patient gets the feeling of blockade in ear and at that time echo of spoken words may be appretiated by the patient. Your eustachian tube is patent or not may be checked by Impedance audiometry. If you feel any doubt than please consult your ENT doctor for examination and investigation to finalize the status.
Probably you got the clarification of your query.
Regards.
